Josh King, Founder

Josh King is the Founder of CP Soccer Northern California. Josh grew up in New Jersey but now lives in Mill Valley California and attends high school at Tamalpais High. His hobbies are football, soccer, and basketball.

Josh’s cousin is Levi Halliwell, one of the co-founders of CP Soccer, so Josh has been experiencing our program from the very beginning.

Josh decided to start CP Soccer Northern California because he was inspired by his cousin and all the progress made by CP Soccer on the East Coast. Josh is “super excited to start the season and meet all the new players!”

Shea Hammond, coach

Shea Hammond is a co-founder of CP Soccer, a forward on the US Paralympic National Team, and an advocate for young people with Cerebral Palsy broadly.

When he was born Shea suffered a stroke that partially paralyzed the entire left side of his body, giving him Cerebral Palsy. Despite this Shea has dedicated his life to soccer and helping those with disabilities like his own through the non-profit organization he helped found, CP Soccer. He has won a bronze medal with Team USA at the Parapan American Games, played in the World Cup for the U.S., and most recently was awarded the Inaugural Team USA Service and Hope award for his work with his non-profit and kids with disabilities. Now as the first undergraduate student at Clemson University to receive a scholarship to play soccer, Shea looks to continue advancing the world of disability sports and showing the world that people with disabilities can do anything.
