Katherine A. Dimitropoulou, Ph.D., OTR/L

Katherine Dimitropoulou is an Assistant Professor of Regenerative and Rehabilitation Medicine at Columbia University.  Her clinical and research focus is on motor learning and motor control in children with developmental disabilities.  She runs funded research studies related to mechanisms of motor learning and adaptive behavior in children with neurological problems.  Dr. Dimitropoulou is excited to help spread the word about CP Soccer among the children who qualify to play, and plans to offer clinical trials to help the kids who play CP Soccer learn better to control their bodies.

Since 2019, Dr. Dimitropoulou has collaborated with CP Soccer to deliver a one-week summer soccer day camps in New York City by combining the Game_ON methodology with CP Soccer curricula.

Ashley Hammond - President, SDA

Ash is Shea's father and has been a professional soccer coach his entire career.  He owns and runs Sports Domain Academy, full indoor soccer facilities in Monclair and in Clifton, New Jersey, and has coached several teams to national titles.  Ash is a Director of CP Soccer, and is generously donating his facility and coaching staff for CP Soccer's use.  We would not be able to get up and running so quickly if it were not for Ash's support.

Richard R Mack, LMT Trager Approach Somatic Education Practitioner

Richard is a Co-Founder of Mind Your Body Movement Therapy Clinic. After successfully demonstrating the effectiveness of his work with Shea Hammond and Levi Halliwell, Richard was welcomed to the CP Soccer family. He has been working with the team since its inception both privately and by showing up weekly to observe and be a part of their practices. By watching these children on the field, he has developed an aptitude for helping them become more aware in their bodies. His greatest satisfaction comes by helping them discover their inherent ability to move through the limitations imposed by CP. Richard is passionate about this work and his service to the team.

 
 

MADELANA FERRARA, M.A., CYT, CTP

Madelana Ferrara is owner and founder of MadMat Yoga and a co-founder of Mind Your Body in the New York Metropolitan area. She has spent the past 3 decades as a student of Yoga and other healing arts including a great commitment to The Trager® Approach – Psycho-physical integration. In addition, she is a Global Peace Ambassador working towards the realization of peace through the tools that she has cultivated in her work. Madelana has worked with populations of all ages during the past 30 years and is especially excited to assist people of any age in recovery from trauma. That is why she finds working with CP Soccer and these amazing young athletes so gratifying. She is excited to be a part of this team supporting theinsight and evolution of these children and this organization.

 

Craig teper - director

Craig Teper is a director specializing in documentary, commercials and branded content. He has directed features and shorts, as well as large scale installations and web films. His films have premiered at the South by Southwest (SXSW) and Tribeca Film Festivals, and have aired on Showtime, BBC, Amazon and Netflix. His feature film Vidal Sassoon The Movie was released theatrically in the US, UK and markets around the world. Craig has signed on as CP Soccer's official documentarian.
