CP SOCCER CAMP 2026 IS HERE.

CP Soccer 2026 will be held from June 27th - July 2nd at The Lawrenceville School in Lawrenceville, NJ.

What is CP Soccer sleepaway camp?

The capstone event of each year for CP Soccer is our five-night summer sleep away camp, held at the end of June. This year our camp will again be held at The Lawrenceville School in Lawrenceville, NJ. CP Soccer Camp provides CP kids with the chance to both experience serious soccer training and enjoy the company of other kids like themselves. We include non-soccer activities, but soccer is the main focus. Some kids are already playing at a competitive level, while others may be completely new to the sport, and we have developed a curriculum that keeps everyone engaged, challenged and happy. Ultimately, we want everyone to have fun.

Campers sleep in dorms, eat in the dining hall and play on outdoor fields. There is adult supervision by staff who have been vetted and trained to work with CP kids. After drop-off, parents are not allowed to come on the camp premises unless expressly invited, but there are many hotels nearby. The provider’s dining facilities are able to accommodate special diet requirements, and there are multiple hospitals nearby in case of emergency.

Eligibility Requirements

Our summer camp is open to CP kids 10 and older with hemiplegia, diplegia or a similar physical manifestation of CP that is a result of stroke, TBI, or other form of cerebral palsy. They must be independently ambulatory (no walkers or crutches) and cognitively independent enough to take care of all basic functions (feed themselves, go to the bathroom independently without having accidents, clean themselves in a shower). We also require a reference from a teacher or coach to verify independently that the child is emotionally ready to sleep away from their parents for five nights. This camp is much more like a traditional able-bodied camp than a special needs camp, and we are not set up to accommodate kids who require significant one-to-one attention.
