This is the third year CP Soccer is collaborating with Columbia University to run a camp for players affected by cerebral palsy, stroke or traumatic brain injury. This is a research study camp and players will be participants of the study. The aim of the study is to evaluate the physical and emotional benefits of engaging in targeted physical activity such as a team sport for youths with CP. Players complete a pre- and post-camp assessment to obtain a baseline, and wear heart monitors during camp to measure their efficiency.

In 2021, we ran our camp at Upper 90 Queens from 7/26 to 7/30. Our participants went through a week of training including fitness, static and dynamic balance and coordination training, soccer skills and drills, chair yoga, quizzes, social interaction and sharing and many more! Check out our photo highlights above.
