U21 CP SOCCER PARA 7-A-SIDE NATIONAL TRAINING CAMP

SDA Clifton, NJ hosted 20 of the best U21 national-level Para 7-a-side soccer players in the country. The US Para 7-a-side Mens National team recently claimed a bronze medal at the Para-Pan games in Peru. The best U21 CP soccer players will be training for 4 days at SDA Clifton from 12/26-12/30.

The first ever full U21 CP camp held by CP Soccer US featured 3 full time US Mens Para 7-a-side players and 17 aspiring U21 players. CP soccer is for players affected by cerebral palsy, stroke or traumatic brain injury.

New Jersey natives Shea Hammond and Jake Kaplan who recently returned from the Para 7-a-side World Cup in Sevilla, Spain and the Para Pan games in Lima, Peru trained alongside the U21 squad. They were joined by one of the worlds’ BEST players and 2019 nominee for US Soccer player of the year with a disability, Nick Mayhugh. The U21 team is preparing for a Para 7-a-side Club World Championship in Barcelona, Spain in June 2020 and for some a chance to maybe go with the mens team to Sardinia, Italy for the World Top 8 championship in May 2020.

US Para 7-a-side Mens Head Coach Stuart Sharp who made history this summer by leading the team to its first ever Bronze medal in Para competition also attended camp for a few days to evaluate the up and coming youth talent in the US.

Players from New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, Texas, California, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Ohio, Georgia and Alabama be attended the camp
